He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, complemented by several high-level certifications, including Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS), Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). His expertise extends to profiling biomechanical dysfunction and correction, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement to mitigate injury and promote optimization. His professional expertise is further enhanced by specialized training in manual therapy techniques such as Active Release Technique (ART), joint and soft tissue mobilizations, dry needling, and fascial manipulation, integrating evidence-based practices to optimize athlete performance, prevent injuries, and promote effective recovery.
Joe’s distinguished career spans working with athletes from several major professional sports leagues, including the NBA, WNBA, NFL, XFL, MLS, and PGA. His extensive team experience includes pivotal roles with the Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, and Sacramento Kings, where he served as Head Athletic Trainer. During his tenure, Joe has been instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive injury prevention strategies and proven return-to-play protocols that have significantly mitigated soft tissue injuries and expedited athlete recovery.
